My research area relies on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. My PhD (awarded in 2018) focused on the development of metaheuristics for parameter estimation in biological systems. As part of that work, I conducted experiments using various metaheuristic approaches, including scatter search, differential evolution, particle swarm optimization, genetic algorithms, and covariance matrix adaptation strategies.
Currently, much of my research centers on deep learning. In particular, we investigate transformer models, long short-term memory (LSTM) networks, and generative adversarial networks (GANs), applying them to various domains such as stock market prediction, drug discovery, multi-omics, and cancer bioinformatics.
